Our Journey
2009
Dr. Praful Mehta, a consultant surgeon known for his compassionate nature and dedication to helping others, realized the critical need for specialized care for elderly bedridden patients during his medical practice. Driven by a desire to serve, he collaborated in 2008 with Mr. Jayantbhai Champaneri, an esteemed engineer and devoted social worker, to address this gap. Together, they founded the Helping Hand Charitable Trust on September 9, 2009, offering integrated medical, nursing, and physiotherapy services. Their shared vision and unwavering dedication aim to create a comforting, home-like environment for seniors, focusing on comprehensive care with dignity and providing emotional support during their challenging times.
2010
A Pilot project with 18 bed capacity started in a rented premises. Inauguration of Medical Home done by Dr Tushar A. Chaudhary Minister of state, Tribal affairs, Government of India and Guest of honour Mr C. R. Patil, MP Navsari.

2012
A trust made a significant step towards improving the wellbeing of senior citizens by collaborating with an ongoing activity of Mehta hospital for “FREE MEDICAL CHECK UP CAMP FOR SENIOR CITIZENS” First Sunday of every month as a part of senior citizens care.

2015
A kidney Dialysis center. “An only Dialysis center in Pardi” was inaugurated by Mrs Paliben Desai with help of Navjyot Trust Mumbai at Mehta Hospital in auspicious presence of Shri Kanubhai Desai, MLA, Pardi and Dr KC Patel, MP Valsad & Dang

2016

2018
A Medical Home started at new premises with two floors operational (20 beds)

2020
A state of art kitchen and Dining room inaugurated by Shri Kishorbhai Kanani (Kumar)Hon. Health minister (MOS) Gujarat state.

2021
- A second floor wing A & B made operational with addition of 18 beds. Inaugurated by Shri. C R Patil, Gujarat state president BJP and MP Navsari.

- A Third floor wing A made operational with addition of 12 beds. Inaugurated by Shri. Kanubhai Desai, Cabinet Minister, Finance, Energy and Petrochemicals, Gujarat State.

- A new state of art Dialysis CENTER established with 5 new Dialysis machines (Total 7 units) installed.

2022
- Physiotherapy unit: A state of art Physiotherapy unit started with all modern equipments.

- Critical Care (ICU) ambulance: This initiative is an example of commitment of our Trust towards the well being of Pardi people. It brings hope and assurance to countless families that a medical assistance is just a phone call away for transport of their critical patients to higher centers withsafety.
